Embedding Anti-racism in Ontario Education

Join us at our final summit in Toronto on May 29 as we build upon ongoing efforts to develop a unified strategy for combating systemic racism and shaping inclusive, equitable education across Ontario.

Our Vision

Anti-Racism Education Ontario, originally envisioned as the Racial Equity in Education (REE) Initiative, is a transformative five-year effort led by the Urban Alliance on Race Relations to lay the groundwork to facilitate systemic change within Ontario’s education system. By cultivating strong relationships with racialized communities, amplifying the work of grassroots organizers, and fostering collaboration with emerging advocates ready to drive change, we worked to equip parents and students with the tools, training, and advocacy skills needed to push for meaningful, sustainable policy changes at both regional school boards and the provincial level.
